The assembly has a turbine casing of a turbocharger and including a turbine casing flange (2), and a catalyst flange (3) provided as a part of the converter. A connecting unit fixes the turbine casing flange and the catalyst flange to each other with interposition of a seal. An insulation layer (6) of a thermally resistant elastic material is arranged between the connecting unit and the flanges.
