<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for expanding a peripheral space of a clamp bracket in tilting-up, while facilitating troublesome installation work of the steering device, by simplifying a peripheral structure of a tilt shaft of the clamp bracket in a ship. <P>SOLUTION: This outboard motor 6 can adjust a tile angle and a trim angle of the outboard motor 6, by enabling a swivel bracket 4 to rotate in a vertical plane around the horizontal directional tilt shaft 21 arranged in a front end part of a bracket. A turning gear 23 installed on a swivel shaft 7, a driving mechanism for driving this turning gear 23 and an electric motor 19 being a driving source, are arranged between the swivel bracket 4 and an engine cover 20 of the outboard motor 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
