EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment apparatus efficiently flocculating fine particles contained in exhaust gas.

SOLUTION: The exhaust gas treatment apparatus 1 comprises: a pipe body 4 functioning as a flow passage flowing exhaust gas therethrough; an electrostatic flocculation device 2 flocculating the fine particles 5 contained in the exhaust gas 6; and a honeycomb filter 3 collecting the fine particles 5 flocculated by the electrostatic flocculation device 2. The electrostatic flocculation device 2 has: a first discharge electrode part 7 generating first discharge 17 for making one fine particles 5 have positive electric charge or negative electric charge; and a second discharge electrode part 8 generating second discharge 18 for making other fine particles 5 have electric charge with polarity different from that of the first discharge 17.
