<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method wherein converter operation is performed by an inverter circuit and thus a converter circuit can be excluded. <P>SOLUTION: The method is for excluding a dedicated circuit for rectifying alternating-current power. In this method, the operation of charging a storage battery from an alternating-current power supply is performed by causing the inverter circuit to perform converter operation. Discharging operation is performed as follows: the inverter circuit performs inverter operation with respect to the direct-current power in the storage battery and power is supplied to a load. In the above method, inverter operation and converter operation are performed by the inverter circuit and the inverter operation and rectifying operation are performed. Use of the inverter 4 in converter operation and use of the inverter 4 with a freewheel diode built therein make it possible to exclude a rectifier 2, and thus components can be simplified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
