<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent luminance uniformity of a display region from lowering, in a display device having a direct backlight unit using a fluorescent tube. <P>SOLUTION: The display device comprises a plurality of tubular light sources which are arranged in parallel with one another on the rear side of the display region of the display panel, has a first reflection member disposed on the more rear side of the display panel side than the tubular light sources, and a second reflection member disposed on the outer periphery of a reflection surface of the first reflection member, wherein the second reflection member has an inclined reflection surface of which the distance from the liquid crystal display panel gets shorter as going from the inner periphery to the outer periphery, and further has a notch portion on the inner periphery, end portions of the tubular light sources pass through the notch portions of the second reflection member and are positioned on the rear side of the reflection surface of the second reflection member, and the end positions and their neighborhood of the notch portions of the second reflection member are covered with a canopy-like member protruding to the display panel side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
