PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a tilt type camera apparatus which prevents dust from being entered into the apparatus. SOLUTION: A device body unit 1 of a security traveling device 100 comprises an undercover 6 which is capable of swinging while supporting its one end by an imaging unit holder 16 (imaging unit body 12) disposed to be exposed from an opening 4a of an upper frame member 4 of a case body 5. When switching a direction by turning the imaging unit holder 16 by a tilt turning mechanism unit 17, another end of the undercover 6 is abutted to the case body 5 while swinging over a range where the direction of the imaging unit holder 16 is switched. Thus, the undercover is disposed between the case body 5 and the imaging unit holder 16 at all the time, thereby closing the opening 4a between the case body 5 and the imaging unit holder 16.
