PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus for accurately detecting a defective pixel. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with an imaging element, and an image processing part 40 for applying image processing to pixel data obtained by imaging with the imaging element. The image processing part 40 has a defective pixel candidate determining part 52 for determining a defective pixel candidate in each pixel from pixel data 100 obtained by imaging the pixel data in a shielded state, and a defective pixel determining part 56 for determining a defective pixel for a pixel determined as a defective pixel candidate more than a fixed number of times from a pixel of a defective pixel candidate pixel obtained by imaging the pixel a plurality of times in a shielded state.
