PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction gear having a large reduction ratio and small non-load running torque in spite of a small size. SOLUTION: The ball circulating type worm reduction gear comprises a worm 1 including a plurality of wedge-shaped segments 5 each having a ball groove on the thicker end surface, segments overlapped with one another and connected so that the ball grooves spirally and continuously form a tooth groove around a predetermined central axial line A, and the central axial line is bendable, and the segments connected to shaft members 7 at both ends; a worm wheel 2 having tooth grooves 2c composed of ball grooves; a support member 3 rotatably supporting the worm wheel, and rotatably supporting the shaft members at both ends of the worm so that parts forming tooth grooves of the plurality of segments of the worm are curved along the worm wheel and meshed with the tooth grooves of the worm wheel; and a ball circulating passage 4 for circulating a plurality of balls 14 to passages defined by the tooth groove of the worm 1 and the tooth grooves of the worm wheel 2.
