PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leather-like sheet-shaped material having a fine pattern drawn by the inkjet method or the like on the surface, and having light resistance and color migration resistance, and also having practically sufficient physical properties. SOLUTION: The leather-like sheet-shaped material has an adhesive layer and a colored layer on a fibrous base material. The colored layer contains a polyurethane containing a polyoxyethylene chain as an essential component, and has an image composed of a water-based pigment and having a resolution of 5 dots/mm. Preferably, the content of the polyoxyethylene chain in the polyurethane of the essential component of the colored layer is 2-20 wt.%, and the adhesive layer consists essentially of a polyurethane, and an elastic polymer layer is preferably present on the outside of the colored layer. The method for producing the leather-like sheet-shaped material includes forming the image in the water-based pigment ink by the inkjet method on a film layer containing the polyurethane having the polyoxyethylene chain as the essential component, forming the adhesive layer thereon, and laminating the resultant product with the fibrous base material.
