PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a driver's seat capable of ensuring the constraint performance of an occupant at the driver's seat by an airbag body in the case of using a non-circular steering wheel. SOLUTION: The airbag device has an airbag body 16 which is folded and stored in a boss 14 of a non-circular steering wheel 12, and inflated and deployed to the shape of the steering wheel 12 when gas is fed from an inflator. When the weight of an occupant at a driver's seat is loaded on the inflated and deployed airbag body 16, a phenomenon in which a part of the airbag body 16 is not supported by the steering wheel 12 but escapes forward of a vehicle can be suppressed. Thus, when constraining the occupant at the driver's seat by the airbag body 16, the airbag body 16 can be supported by the steering wheel 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
