PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing iron capable of covering the front part and the rear part as well as the circumference of a control board and retaining the safety when overheating due to damage caused by the deterioration of an electronic component. SOLUTION: At least one of the front part and the rear part of a fire-retardant film formed into a tubular shape inside a grip part 3a covering the control board 5, is provided with a folded-back part 4a (4b) and the folding-back part 4a (4b) is formed by folding back in the inside of a part formed into the tubular part, so that, even if an electronic component mounted on the control board 5 is deteriorated and overheated, the control board and its front/rear are protected by the flame-retardant film 4 so as to provide a safe pressing iron.
