The invention specifically concerns cosmetic or dermatological compositions characterized in that they contain as active principle an association of the micro algae Cyclotelle and the algae Padina pavonica in a non-toxic inert carrier or vehicle for application on the skin. The inventive cosmetic or dermatological compositions are useful in the treatment of pain and irritation by providing a feeling of lasting relief and/or pleasure following an important trauma or wound.
