The injector has a housing (1) and a control valve. An internal nozzle needle (19) and an external nozzle needle (17) are provided in the housing. A control chamber (35) is limited by an internal control chamber casing (31) and internal nozzle needle. Another control chamber (41) is limited by an external control chamber casing (37) and external nozzle needle. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an internal-combustion engine with self ignition, functioning in the four-cycle method.
