PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated steel sheet superior in hydrochloric acid resistance, a worked article, and a panel for thin televisions. SOLUTION: The coated steel sheet superior in hydrochloric acid resistance is characterized in that a zinc-based plating layer and a chemically converted film containing no chromium are formed on both the surfaces of a steel sheet in order, an undercoat film containing no basic pigment is formed on the chemically converted film on one surface of the steel sheet, a topcoat film is formed on the undercoat film, and the total thickness of the undercoat film and the top coat film is 30μm or thinner.
