PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine driven working machine excellent in sound insulation properties and waterproof properties of a sound insulation housing by improving air-tightness and water-tightness between a maintenance window and a lid. SOLUTION: In the engine driven working machine provided with the sound insulation housing 6 supporting an engine 3 and a working machine 4 on a frame 2 and storing the same therein, having the maintenance window 103 opened on a side wall of the sound insulation housing 6, and having the lid 104 opening and closing the maintenance window 103, the maintenance window 103 is formed by punching on a steel side wall plate 2b constructing the side wall of the sound insulating housing 6, and the lid 104 is constituted of blank material punched at that time. A seal member 112 extending outward from an outer circumference end of the lid 104 and closely contacting an outer surface of the side wall plate 2b when the lid 104 is closed is provided on the outer circumference end of the lid 104.
