PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rattling prevention device for fittings, which is capable of preventing any rattling of a door or window over a long time without inserting any other flexible part or buffering member to a gap created between inner side faces of a groove made in a head jamb of a sliding fitting and side faces of its top rail portion. SOLUTION: This is a rattling prevention device 1 made of a flexible resin member which is installed to a top surface of a top rail portion of a sliding fitting. This device comprises an installing portion 2 which is installed to a top surface at a top rail portion of a fitting; and a pair of flexible, circular portions 3 which are located oppositely to each other with the installing portion located at the center and also are abutted on inner side surfaces of the groove made in the head jamb portion of the door or window. The installing portion 2 and flexible circular portions 3 of the device 1 are integrally formed in such a manner that a bottom surface of the flexible circular portion 3 is position at the top surface of an upper end portion of the door or window; and a distance between both the end portions of the pair of the flexible circular portions 3 is made larger than the width of groove made in the head jamb of the sliding door or window thereby preventing any rattling of the door or window.
