PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior facing structure construction method, surely constructing an exterior facing structure with high fitting strength without a holding member such as a hanger, having excellent flashing performance, very easily forming a facing material, and suitable especially for constructing a flat roofing facing structure, and a facing structure. SOLUTION: This facing structure is constructed by using the facing material 1 in which a bent part 11 formed by folding back and further folding back is provided in the vicinity of one side edge part, and a fixing part 12 to a bed 2 is provided on a further one side edge of the bent part 11, and crushing is performed from above with the other side edge 13 of one side facing material 1 inserted in a groove part 111, which is formed on the bent part 11 of the facing material 1 fixed on the bed 2, and one side of which is released.
