PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize welding, provide a regular finished state and sufficient joining strength and ensure a moderate thickness in a welded part when the end of a woven fabric are mutually joined. SOLUTION: Parts of only warp yarns 5 formed by removing a required number of weft yarns 6 in each of a pair of ends are overlapped so as to be mutually superimposed for mutually joining the ends 11 and 12 extendedly present in the width direction of the woven fabric 3. Bridging yarns 21 composed of a thermoplastic yarn material in a mode in which the bridging yarns are installed over the warp yarns therein are arranged parallel to the weft yarns. Both the bridging yarns and the warp yarns composed of the thermoplastic yarn material are ultrasonically welded in a partially molten state so as to be mutually fixed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
