PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user standing on a riding base with the exercise of twisting the lower back part and an abdominal part by reciprocating the riding base to the left and right by a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: The standing riding type exercise apparatus 1 comprises: an installation base 2; the riding base 3 provided above the installation base; a driving mechanism for generating the left and right reciprocating swing of turning a front part and a rear part to opposite phases centering on the center part of the riding base in the plane view and making the movement of lowering the upper surface of the riding base to the left when the front part of the riding base is swung to the left and lowering the upper surface of the riding base to the right when the front part of the riding base is swung to the right simultaneously with the left and right reciprocating swing; and a motor part for driving the driving mechanism.
