SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING LIVE STREAMING SERVICE BETWEEN TERMINALS

A system and a method for providing a real time streaming service between terminals are provided to transmit encoded data of video and audio previously parsed in a server terminal to a client terminal, thereby minimizing loads of a wireless interface between the terminals. A server terminal(100) parses header information in media data, specially stores the parsed header information, confirms decoder generation information included in the header information to set a decoder(16) and reproduce media data, provides the specially-stored header information according to a header information request for currently-reproduced media data, and provides currently-reproduced media data according to media data provision request. A client terminal(110) sets a decoder(38) by using the decoder generation information of the header information received from the server terminal after requesting the header information to the server terminal if a user requests to share the media data of the server terminal. In case the decoder setting is completed, the client terminal request media data to the server terminal, and reproduces the media data provided from the server terminal through the set decoder.
