<p>A method for mounting a proximity position sensor (13) on a piston drive has the sensor fitted to a spring clip clamped onto a threaded spindle. The clip is moved manually for coarse adjustment and is moved for fine adjustment by turning the spindle. The clip has metal strips (16) with holes (20) to fit over the spindle. The spindle is also fitted through holes in the body of the clip, with the two sets of holes offset to grip the spindle. The user simply grips the strips, to align the holes, and moves the sensor to the approximate final setting.</p> |
