A method for preventing a vehicle from being slipped in an uphill road is provided to allow the method to be applied to a manual transmission as well as an automatic transmission. A method for preventing a vehicle from being slipped in an uphill road comprises the steps of determining if a corresponding vehicle has a manual transmission or an automatic transmission when the vehicle is in idling state(S101,S105), and determining an operation of a boost by checking a state of a clutch switch when the vehicle has a manual transmission, and by checking a state of a brake when the vehicle has an automatic transmission(S103,S107). When it is determined that the boost operates, it is determined if the vehicle runs forward or backward in the uphill road by using a slop detection sensor(S109). When a reverse gear is engaged when the vehicle runs backward or when a low gear is engaged when the vehicle runs forward, a compensation PRM is determined(S111,S113 and S115).
