<p>A pipe section (1) comprising a tubular insulating element (2) having an outer surface (3) and an inner surface (4) and an insulating material comprising mineral wool, such as glass wool, stone wool or slag wool, arranged between the outer surface (3) and the inner (4) surface. A fire retarding material (7) is arranged in the mineral wool in such manner that the concentration of the fire retarding material (7) in the mineral wool is higher in an annular core section (8) between the outer surface (3) and the inner surface (4) than in sections being closer to the outer surface (3) and the inner surface (4). Methods for producing such a pipe section are also described.</p> |
