A CATALYST FOR INHIBITING THE NO2 GENERATION

An apparatus for post-treating exhaust gas of a vehicle is provided to suppress the generation of NO2, by using a catalyst, which contains noble metal oxide and inhibits the generation of NO2. An apparatus for post-treating exhaust gas of a vehicle has a DOC(Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) and a CSF(Catalyzed Soot Filter) disposed in a line. A catalyst for inhibiting the generation of NO2 is disposed at the rear of the CSF. The catalyst contains a basic metal oxide catalyst composition where ceria-cobalt oxide, activated alumina, zeolite are combined, a noble metal component consisting of platinum and palladium formed on the basic metal oxide catalyst composition, and a non-noble metal component such as barium or strontium.
