Method and device for creating and emitting a high performance microwave impulse

The device has a Marx generator (11) parallely charged by a charging circuit (15). The generator is equipped with electrodes (13) of a discharger (14) in series with switchable capacitors (12) and serves directly as resonator and dipole antenna (24). The capacitors are attached to the charging circuit over uncoupling resistors (16) that are formed from electrically conductive plastic. The generator is equipped at a front side with the electrically conductive plate that is connected to a stack of the capacitors. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing and radiating a high speed microwave pulse.
