A housing 2 for at least one electronic or magnetic ballast has a base which includes a groove 12 to receive a din-rail during use to secure the housing in a location remote from a lamp with which the or each ballast is associated. For street lamp applications the housing can be arranged near to ground level for ease of maintenance. The housing can accommodate more than one magnetic or electronic ballast in separate chambers. |
