Magnetic refrigerant materials for a magnetic refrigerator are provided to prevent a noneconomic efficiency and a fatal risk occurring in magnetic refrigerant used in an existing magnetic refrigerator by making the magnetic refrigerant materials of a glassy alloy mainly containing Fe. Magnetic refrigerant materials have a comparatively uniform and high magnetic calory effect in a broad temperature region including a predetermined temperature. A magnetic refrigerant used in a magnetic refrigerator is made of a Fe91-xTxZr9 alloy manufactured by a rapid solidifying method, wherein T of the alloy is an element acquired by substituting Fe for Mn and Y. The content of the element is in the range of 0 at% <= x <= 6 at%.
