A mobile terminal and a method for providing supplemental functions therein are provided to increase convenience in using a mobile terminal as a multifunctional peripheral by prioritizing supplemental functions and setting a top-priority supplemental function as a default function. A mobile terminal which provides various supplemental functions comprises a memory part(210) and a control part(240). The memory part(210) stores a priority setup program to prioritize the supplemental functions and select a top-priority supplemental function as a default function. If a key to prioritize the supplemental functions is inputted, the control part(240) drives the priority setup program, and provides a priority setup menu according to the algorithm of the priority setup program. If the user inputs information to prioritize the supplemental functions through the priority setup menu, the control part(240) prioritize the supplemental functions. Also the control part confirms whether to interrupt a voice call function, and appoints the top-priority function as a default function.
