<p>The tool has a carrier plate to be moved for machining operation in rotary motion. A cutting edge (20) is formed at the carrier plate, and has cutting segments (30) arranged at the carrier plate. The cutting segments are made of a carbide base and a polycrystalline diamond layer, and have the form of cylinder segments. The segments are arranged at the carrier plate in such a manner that a working edge operating in a rotational direction is formed through two edges of the segments, where the edges limit the polycrystalline diamond layer and meet in a segment angle.</p> |
