A lock up controlling method for a coast driving of a vehicle is provided to decrease fuel consumption by cutting a fuel supply only at an accurate full lock up condition. A full lock up signal is transmitted from a TCU(Transmission Control Unit) to an ECU(Engine Control Unit). When a fuel cut control condition is satisfied, a lock up control process and a fuel cut control process are performed on a vehicle. While a lock up pressure is applied on the vehicle, a difference between engine and turbine RPM(Revolutions Per Minute) is checked. When the difference is maintained to be smaller than a predetermined value for a predetermined time interval, the TCU determines a full lock up state. Then, the TCU transmits the full lock up signal to the ECU.
