<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus of simple arrangement having two members that can maintain two different closed states, relating to an information processing apparatus and a hook mechanism applicable to the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus comprises a first member 4 having a first face 4A and a second face 4B; a second member 2; and a means for connecting the members 2, 4 together in such a manner that the members 2, 4 are capable of relative displacement between a state in which the first face 4A is opposite to the second member 2 and a state in which the second face 4B is opposite to the second member 2. The first member 4 has a hook member 28 which can protrude selectively from either the first face 4A or the second face 4B.
