<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bipolar battery preventing a short circuit caused by forming a gap between a unit cell layer and a sealing member. <P>SOLUTION: The bipolar battery 1 is constituted by forming a bipolar electrode in which a positive active material layer 3 is formed on one surface of current collectors 2, 7 and a cathode active material layer 4 is formed on the other side, and laminating the bipolar electrodes between which a gel electrolyte layer 5 is interposed, and the bipolar battery 1 has a sealing member 9 arranged between the current collectors so as to surround the periphery of a unit cell layer 6 containing the adjacent anode active material layer 3, the gel electrolyte layer 5, and the cathode active material layer 4, and an insulating member 10 preventing the contact of the bipolar electrodes laminated through the gel electrolyte layer 5 in between the gel electrolyte layer 5 and the sealing member 9. The insulating member 10 is powder having insulating properties, and filled between the gel electrolyte layer 5 and the sealing member 9 in a laminating stage of the bipolar battery 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
