The spring has a spring body (7) formed integrally of resilient metal. The spring body has a fastening portion and a lamp retainer portion. The retainer portion includes detent spring tongues that are disposed between connecting legs. The connecting legs between the portions form an annular region, which is closed in force-locking fashion by a crimped connection. The spring is made from chromium-nickel steel.
