摘要 A method for preparing silica particles from slag is provided to obtain the silica particles as a high value-added by-product and utilize the silica particles as a raw material for basic materials of various fields by preparing silica particles with high purity from a large amount of slag generated from ironworks. A method for preparing silica particles from slag comprises the steps of: adding strong acid to slag; agitating the strong acid-added slag to melt and extract intermetallic compounds in slag grains; and adding an ammonium chloride solution to a residue from which the intermetallic compounds are melted and extracted to remove fluorite from the residue. The grain size of slag is not more than 1 mm. The strong acid is hydrochloric acid or nitric acid. The strong acid-added slag is agitated for at least 30 minutes. The ammonium chloride solution has a concentration of at least 0.5M. The hydrochloric acid or the nitric acid has a concentration of at least 6N.
