A portable terminal is provided to enable a user to input various information on a touch pad more exactly and conveniently by installing an input pad in the inside of a terminal body and exposing it to the external if necessary. A portable terminal comprises a terminal body(100), a display panel(200), a touch pad, and an input pad(400). The display panel(200) is installed at the front side of the terminal body(100). The touch pad is installed on the upper surface of the display panel(200). The input pad(400) is wound at a side of the terminal body(100) so as to be slid to both of the front side and rear side of the terminal body(100). The input pad(400) inputs information by applying pressure to the touch pad. The input pad(400) consists of a pad, keys, and push bosses. The keys are formed on the upper surface of the pad. The push bosses, formed on the rear surface of the pad, push the touch pad.
