CONNECTING MEMBER OF LATERAL-LINE WIRE IN BEAD CORD

Connection is facilitated by preventing shift, lowering of strength, and deterioration in balance of the connection member of a lateral-line wire. A columnar metallic material is pressed inward from the opposite sides using a pointed punch to form recessed sleeves (12) for receiving the start-of-winding (51) and the end-of-winding (51) of a lateral-line wire (50) on the respective sides, and a connection member (10) is formed with a partition wall-like thick portion (11) left at the central portion thereof. The connection member (10) is arranged such that the axial length (l) of the central thick portion (11) and the wire diameter (d) of the lateral-line wire satisfy the following relationship; d<=l<= 8xd. The lateral-line wire (50) is cut with a predetermined margin so that the start-of-winding (51) and the end-of-winding (51) of the lateral-line wire (50) abut against the thick portion (11) at the rear ends of the sleeves (12) on the opposite sides. ® KIPO & WIPO 2008
