<p>A light diffusion plate is provided to make the structure lightweight by dispersing a light diffusing agent in propylene polymer, to prevent breakage by having a high mechanical strength, and to restrict deformation caused by the absorption of the moisture and heat generated from a light source, by securing high moistureproof and heat resistant properties. A light diffusion plate(1) consists of propylene polymer containing the unit content of propylene over 98wt.% and a light diffusing agent dispersed in propylene polymer. Propylene polymer contains a nucleating agent. A backlight device(4) comprises the light diffusion plate and a light source(5) disposed at the back side of the light diffusion plate. A direct liquid crystal display(2) has the backlight device and a liquid crystal cell(3). The light diffusion plate is positioned between the liquid crystal cell and the light source.</p> |
