A cosmetic composition comprising an extract of Cordyceps sinensis ginseng is provided to show excellent free-radical scavenging activity, antioxidation capacity, skin elasticity enhancing and collagen synthesis promoting effects, and significantly excellent immunity enhancing function compared with a cosmetic composition comprising only a ginseng extract or a Cordyceps sinensis extract with safety to human body without irritation. A cosmetic composition comprises 0.0001-100 wt.% of an extract of Cordyceps sinensis ginseng as an effective ingredient, wherein the Cordyceps sinensis ginseng is prepared by inoculating Cordyceps sinensis into ginseng and then culturing it and the extract is obtained by pulverizing the Cordyceps sinensis ginseng and extracting the powder with an extraction solvent such as distilled water, 1,3-butyleneglycol, methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol, glycerol, propyleneglycol, methyl acetate, ethylacetate, hexane, chloroform, benzene and petroleum ether.
