A chair type massage device is provided to maintain the pressure of an air bag that grips a user's arm without increasing the pressure of the air bag excessively by supplying air to the air bag intermittently. A chair type massage device includes a seat portion(2), a backplate portion(3), an arm rest portion(4), an air bag(5), a control portion(6) and an operation portion(7). The backplate portion includes a reclining device for performing basic action. The air bag is disposed on the arm rest portion. The control portion controls the supply of air by an air supply pump(10) to make the air supplied to the air bag intermittently when inclining the backplate portion by controlling the reclining device according to the operation instructions of the operation portion to perform the stretching of user's arms. |
