METHOD FOR CONFIRMING INTEGRITY OF CONTAINER AND THE DVB-H TERMINAL

A method for checking integrity of a container and its DVB-H(Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld) terminal are provided to improve integrity of container data although a DVB-H terminal does not search a sequence number of each symbol in receiving a container. A digital broadcast receiving unit(110) receives a container. When the container is received through the digital broadcast receiving unit(110), a controller(100) acquires profile information required for checking integrity of the received container from the received container, acquires information about one or more sections obtained by dividing the container by a unit of a certain length, and checks integrity of data of the container by the length corresponding to each section based on the acquired information. The controller(100) checks whether there is a profile identifier indicating that profile information is included in the received container, and if there is a profile identifier, the controller(100) acquires the profile body having information about the section from between a head profile identifier indicating a start portion of the profile information and a tail profile identifier indicating an end portion of the profile information.
