A circuit for emergency braking of an elevator in case of starting with doors open and preventing sudden stopping of the elevator in case of a power failure is provided to accurately and confidently perform emergency-braking by mechanically performing operation for preventing sudden stopping through a braking timer and supply of an emergency power source. A circuit for emergency braking of an elevator in case of starting with doors open and preventing sudden stopping of the elevator in case of a power failure includes an emergency braking circuit(30) and a sudden stopping preventive circuit(40). The emergency braking circuit connects a first contact of power failure sensing relay(31), which is connected in a state of receiving power of a main power device(10), to an emergency power device(20). The emergency braking circuit series-connects a starting with doors open switch(32) between the first contact of power failure sensing relay and a solenoid(50), and operates the solenoid by receiving power from the emergency power device. The sudden stopping preventive circuit connects a second contact of power failure sensing relay(41), which is connected in a state of breaking the power of the main power device, to the emergency power device and connects a timer(42) for braking to the second contact of power failure sensing relay. The sudden stopping preventive circuit operates the solenoid after predetermined time by series-connecting an instant motion contact(43) for braking between the second contact of power failure sensing relay and the solenoid.
