MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, CORE NETWORK NODE SELECTION METHOD, AND BASE STATION AND MOBILE STATION USED THEREFOR

A mobile communication system, a CN node selection method, a BS, and an MS used in the BS are provided to receive information necessary to select a CN node from the MS or a source BS during the handover of the MS, thereby enabling a target BS to select the CN node properly to communicate. Plural BSs(Base Stations)(21~23) and plural CN(Core Network) nodes(11~13) are distributed to plural areas(41,42) in the source BS of a mobile communication system. The source BS includes two units. A unit performs wireless communication with an MS which performs handover from the source BS to a target BS in a handover procedure. A unit transmits a first identifier of a CN node, to which the source BS is connected, and a second identifier of an area, to which the source BS belongs, to the target BS in the handover procedure.
