The bricklaying profile (1) comprises an elongated body (2) with a longitudinal axis (4) and a bricklaying cord positioning device (5). Parallel to the longitudinal axis extend guide devices (5). A positioning component (6) is displaceable along the guide devices and can be fixed in predetermined positions (33) on the guide devices by fixture units (7). The positioning component has a fixture component (8) for the bricklaying cord. The fixture units comprise a projection connected with the positioning component which is adjustable between an inwardly drawn and extended position. The fixture units comprise openings (9) positioned on a line (10) which extends parallel to the longitudinal axis (4) of the body (2). The mutual distance between the openings is between 4 and 60 cm.
