An electronic dispersion compensation method for supporting a timing recovery using an integrated architecture and channel identification, and a system thereof are provided to correspond to a time variable characteristic of a communication channel. An electronic dispersion compensation system for supporting a timing recovery using an integrated architecture and channel identification includes an ADC(Analog to Digital Converter) block(118), an interleaved equalizer block(132), and a multiplexer(150). The ADC block generates a plurality of digitally sampled signals from an electromagnetic signal. The interleaved equalizer block generates a plurality of digitally equalized signals by performing a digitally process for each of the digitally sampled signals which are generated by the interleaved ADC block. The multiplexer adds the digitally equalized signals into a composite output signal.
