摘要 <p>A signal detecting method in an MIMO system and a receiving apparatus are provided to approach performance approximate to an ML(Maximum Likelihood) method without performing exhaustive full search of the ML method, thereby significantly reducing the amount of necessary calculation and easily implementing hardware. In a transmission apparatus(100), a signal processor(110) processes transmission data and transmits the processed transmission data to a symbol matching unit(120). The symbol matching unit converts the processed transmission data to symbols according to modulation method, and the high speed symbols are divided into 4 low speed data layers through a demultiplexing unit(130) according to the number of a transmission antenna(140). The divided data layers are transmitted through the transmission antenna. A receiving apparatus of an MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) comprises the followings. A layer arranging unit(210) rearranges channel-estimated layers for a received signal based on reliability. A symbol detecting unit(220) detects a transmission symbol vector according to the layers rearranged by the layer arranging unit. A standard for determining the reliability of the layers is an SNR(Signal-to-Noise Ratio).</p>
