Disclosed is the use of (3S,4R)-3,4-dihydro-4-(2,3-dihydro-2-methyl-3-oxopyridazin-6-yl)oxy-3-hydroxy-6-(3-hydroxyphenyl)sulphonyl-2,2,3-trimethyl-2H-benzo[b]pyran, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, in the manufacture of a medicament for treating an alopecia selected from the group consisting of alopecia areata, hair loss secondary to chemotherapy, or radiation treatment, stress-related hair loss, self-induced hair loss, and scarring alopecia.
