The invention comprises a method of treating seine material (11), in particular seine material (11) connected with a net cage for fish farming, the method including the steps of: letting the seine material (11) pass an ultrasonic field (7a) so as to free the seine material (11) of undesired materials; and collecting the released, undesired materials which have been released from the seine material (11).
