An applicator, for applying a surface repairing fluid to a damaged painted surface, includes at least one reservoir for holding the surface repair fluid, a dispensing nib for controlled dispensing of the fluid, and a mixing mechanism within the reservoir to maintain the fluid in an applicable state. The dispensing nib is a fine, pressure sensitive dispensing nib capable of dispensing millilitre amounts of fluid at a time and is adapted to restrict application of the surface repairing fluid to within minor indentations in the paint surface damaged from chips or scratches and independent of the surrounding surface.
