MULTI TAG RECOGNITION METHOD USING RF ID READER

A method for recognizing a plurality of tags by using an RFID reader is provided to prevent the RFID reader from recognizing the responded tag by enabling the RFID reader to recognize the tag, responding to the RFID reader first, before coverage of the RFID reader is escaped when the RFID tag recognizes a plurality of tags sequentially passing on the moving pipeline. An RFID reader performs an inventory command and checks collision among responded tags if a response of a tag exists(SP2). A length of a mask is increased by inserting a mask value into a collided slot value when the tags are collided with each other(SP7). The RFID reader increases the value of the current slot until the current slot gets to be the last slot, and is returned to a process for performing the inventory command if a response of the tag does not exist. A termination command is performed when the current slot is identical with the final slot. The RFID reader performs a quiet command for stored tag values by transmitting the stored tag value to an upper level and initializing the length of the mask and the slot value when the tags are not collided(SP14).
