A welding device is provided to remove welding spark and alien substances adhered to an inner screw thread of the nut when welding a nut to a metal plate. In a welding device comprising a lower electrode(10) in which a guide pin is inserted such that the guide pin is inserted into a nut(2) put on a top face of the metal plate through a through-hole of a metal plate(1), and an upper electrode installed oppositely to the lower electrode such that the upper electrode is movable up and down, wherein the nut is welded to the metal plate when the upper electrode contacts the nut by moving the upper electrode in the downward direction, a welding device for welding the nut and the metal plate is characterized in that a compressed air ejecting unit is formed on the upper electrode to eject compressed air into the nut in the vertical downward direction. The compressed air ejecting unit includes an opening formed in the center of a lower end face of the upper electrode, a straight inflow pipe(21) formed along the length direction of the upper electrode from the opening, an inclined inflow pipe(22) slantly connected from the straight inflow pipe, and a compressed air tube(23) laid in the straight inflow pipe and the inclined inflow pipe.
